Beer glass

A friend arrived one morning with bunches of daffodils (there must have been over 50 flowers).  Where to put them?!  I approached Nigel (the Steward) and Allan who greeted me with the usual amused, affable, ‘what outlandish (i.e. female) demand does she have now’ expression.  Well, a vase or two truly stymied them.  After much head scratching, a few beer tankards were loaned from the Beer Cellar and the daffs bloomed on my mantelpiece in Back Quad.
